For "contradictions", read "hallmarks of reliability"

This BBC magazine article got me thinking about apparent contradictions between different eyewitness accounts of the same event.  It turns out that variation in the details smacks of authenticity, not fabrication...  

"The problem is people simply don't remember exactly what happened, say psychologists. The mind does not work like a video camera, nowhere in the brain is the perfect memory of everything that has been seen, in the order it happened."
